Tax is the main source of government and it is the fund used for the development of the nation. We are in new fiscal year 2078/79 and today we are going to present the highest tax payer for fiscal year 2077/78.

1.Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd: Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd is one of the largest private sector and there are local investors and British American tobacco investment which  are currently engaged in cigarettes, safety matches, Agarbati and Confectionary items. The company is the highest tax payer for fiscal year 2077/78 which paid Rs. 9 Arab 34 Crore

2.Nepal Telecom ( NTC) : NTC is the pioneer company in the telecommunication sector like SIM Card, internet etc. NTC ranks second in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

3.Ncell Axiata Ltd: Ncell is the one of the competitors of NTC and is one of the fastest company in  3 G and 4 G .  Ncell ranks third in the tax pax payer list in fiscal year 2077/7

4.Gorkha Brewery Ltd: GBL ranks fourth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

5. Nabil Bank Ltd:  Nabil Bank is the first commercial bank of Nepal. Nabil ranks fifth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

6. NIC Asia Bank Ltd: NIC Asia is the largest bank with large netrwork. NIC ranks sixth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

7. Global IME Bank Ltd: Global Bank ranks seventh in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

8. Nepal Electricity Authority( NEA): NEA ranks eighth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

9. Prime Commercial Bank Ltd: Prime bank ranks ninth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

10. Agriculture Development Bank Ltd ( ADBL): ADBL ranks tenth in the tax payer list in fiscal year 2077/78

Looking at the list commercial banks are the highest tax payer in the Nepal as out of top ten tax payer there are 5 commercial bank in the list
